Distinguishing Characteristics
- Plants generally decumbent to prostrate.
Nutlets smooth with a keel on back near the tip. Sepals
generally much longer than nutlets and often turned to one
side.
- Compare with Plagiobothrys
stipitatus var. micranthus which also has smooth
nutlets, but is delicate and upright.
Habitat(s)
- Vernal pools, especially slightly alkali ones.
Usually not a dominant species.
